The graph illustrated in Figure 1 shows the 'Value' on the vertical axis and 'Time' on the horizontal axis. The Black line shows the investment, which when you buy the solution is initially high and then reduces for ongoing support and running costs. Any changes, upgrades and maintenance to e-SD can be done with minimal time and skill, therefore, substantially reducing any running cost when compared to other enterprise applications that lack this flexibility.
The Red line demonstrates initial deployment of one or more processes.
The cross over of the Red and Black lines is where you break-even and your return begins. The greater the gaps are between the investment and the return line, the more pay back to the organisation.
